System Analyst
System Analyst ( State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Lead system analysis and development for Global Markets Risk Systems and related daily activities for assigned area of discipline; apply background in using a variety of programming languages and protocols; ability to develop application software and add it to appropriate distribution network; quickly respond to support tickets from customers and departments according to company procedures; create effective technical architecture development and support documentation; liaise with scrum masters, business/systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving software products/systems problems; consistently write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications; write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of applications as necessary; design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting
errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging; develop and work on database design, architectural system design and have strong knowledge on Software development life cycle (SDLC), Scrum, Agile, Kanban and Lean Methodologies; participate in daily stand ups, iteration planning, product demos and retrospective meetings; apply hands-on experience on Technologies like, AWS cloud, Java, Unix Scripting, PL/SQL, Oracle, or related tools; and work with and contribute toward established goals & objectives. Hybrid telecommuting from within the United States permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in related field domain; and 5 years' experience as System Analyst or any occupation/title providing experience in system analysis or support.
Must have: Experience in PL/SQL coding and UNIX shell scripting; proven knowledge in Securities Finance trading and Risk processing; proven knowledge in Agile and release management process; experience in Financial Risk & Regulatory and Investment banking; experience in Financial Data Centric Applications; experience with database development; ability to write complex SQL Queries; experience with ORACLE and Database management tools; experience with tools like SQL developer, Toad, Putty, or WinSCP; excellent communication and team management skills; ability to develop strong relationship with the Business and IT Agile teams; and knowledge of financial instruments or risk data/processes. $172,744 - $190,000 Annual
